I haven't even heard anything from 2007 so far. Except Spider-Man 3, which I judge as heard in the movie. All the rest is "anticipatory", so to speak.

Hey Christian, what are these like?

The Davey score I know nothing about.

Hisaishi I know a little better - Spirited Away is ok, Mononoke is strong, Castle in the Sky is a bit boring, and Kikujiro is cute, charming music. How does Howl's Castle stack up against these?

Hey Christian - I go and type up my list for you, and still you don't answer my question about TAILOR OF PANAMA! How would you describe the score?

    MM,

    sorry for my tardy reply.

Davey's The Tailor of Panama is a great little gem, one that too few people know about. It's quite thematic and has a great Middle-American sound to it, which mixes the orchestra with solo instruments and electronics very well. What I like most is a churning ostinato thats present in almost every track.

I'm bad at describing music, and the only review I know that also has sound clips would be the one at Filmtracks (what?): http://www.filmtracks.com/titles/tailor_panama.html

A cross between Under Fire and Shakespare in Love...yep, that's a pretty good description.

    Hope that helped!

    And...those are some lists!

    CK
