I've not checked up anywhere on this, so maybe there's some old official news somewhere...

I find it odd that a label with some pretty strong soundtrack titles in its catalog has basically quit on us....

    Decca, where are you?

Anyone care to share with us your favorite Decca album? I have a feeling most of you will suggest Da Vinci Code because it's the most recent Zimmer score they released... but come on, their catalog goes back to at least Braveheart by the great James Horner. There's even some John Williams in there too.

    What will it be?

I count among my favourites PLAYING BY HEART, SNOW FALLING ON CEDARS and of course CAVEMAN'S VALENTINE.

HANNIBAL and BLACK HAWK DOWN are excellent Zimmer releases.

MUNICH, WAR OF THE WORLDS and TERMINAL are some great Williams scores too.

The latest Decca CD I got is this and I'm loving it. Most of it was conducted by Herrmann himself.

Camillu, that is a good one. It's currently a $10 CD, so all the more reason people should be interested if they don't have much Hitchcock film music. The recordings are great.

Yes, they did TimT. Because you mentioned it, I assume that's the one you are voting as favorite?

Overall, I'm in the same boat as Franzie, although others rewarding my ears include Merchant of Venice and Vanity Fair. Of course, Finding Neverland was played many many times a few years ago.... love the improv piano parts.

HHWHHAT?! You mean Varese isn't releasing the 3rd Bourne score? What's the deal?! They released the other 2. I am hoping that Powell does an awesome job for the final Bourne film.
