I'm surprised Kyp didn't scoop this one.

The subject line says it all, and the label is listed on the latest trailer (which is mind-blowing from an effects perspective). What retailers are detailing is that it is a Various Artists album. Which gives me small consolation that Steve Jablonsky's score will be on it at all. Shia LaBeouf's wearing a t-shirt with the band logo for The Strokes, so it's reasonable to think they might be on this Various Artists stuff.

But not knowing a track listing, I can only speculate what will actually be on it. What I wouldn't mind is an album with songs that were actually in the movie (what a concept!) and the rest be about 40-45 minutes of score. One album release with enough score to satisfy as opposed to Spider-Man 3 which still has some people waiting for Chris Young's album.

I've got a feeling that things will end up this way - Transformers will get a score album released in August after the July release of the Spider-Man 3 album on Varese (Does anyone really think Warner's subsidiary Record Collection is actually going to release the score album for Spidey 3. Likely not).

Trying to remain the opposite of cynical here. Oops. Too late. How about sarcastic? Am I good?

    Actually C...

I found out about this earlier today but didn't say anything because I wanted to wait and see if I could find details on if it was a various disc or a score.

Besides I can't scoop everything. Then you'd have nothing to post

It really is all out of love.

Here's hoping you find more than I have, then. I'm sure you can take it the rest of the way.

Mad props to your skillz, fer shizzle.

And here I thought we were going to avoid any Double Entendres. Oh well.

It was more of Brian's post than yours, Chris. Of course, Brian's reply inspired an equally saccharine reply from you... which resulted in me having to go rinse with some mouthwash...

Oh, and the winkies are way out of control. Beyond reasonable orbit. Causing this thread to lose structural integrity...

    Cheers,
    Jeron

Winkies? Isn't that Velma's exclamatory remark on Scooby-Doo?

    Pluto orbit acheieved.

it's "Jinky's" (or jinkies? i dunno)...but seriously, can we "transform" this thread into something that will send me into orbit? ANYTHING about the score would be cool.

All kidding aside, you got sumthin' for us Kyppy, or am I doomed to the same fate as the insanity of an unreleased Spider-Man 3 Score album?

    I got nothing G.

Not that I liked Young's score to "S3." But I'll keep my eyes open

S'all good. By the way, to get back on topic, Amazon's listing Transformers for July 3rd. Proof that we'll all know what it is, when it's coming, and what it will all mean when it's here.
