Christopher Young's official website has a cue from Spidey 3 for your listening pleasure:
    http://www.officialchristopheryoung.com/music.html

    It's Harry's attack on Peter.

Plus, some guy at soundtrack-board.de says that a score release will come, it's just a question of "when?"

HAHA!!! Yeah, Sam Raimi is just so good with the polemics: The jingoism is 1 and 3 (ridiculous flag-waving), the Twin Towers (so "the terrorists don't win"; you show 'em, buddy!) in 1, and now a giant man-made-of-sand-with-a-heart-of-gold running around NYC to "eerily" evoke the September 11 terrorist attacks; you know, there are clever ways of doing these things, but these are staggeringly bad examples (yet, another reason why these Spider-Man films suck).

MOVIE: Boring; unfunny; action scenes look like gameplay videos for PS2. The ONLY good part about this film is Bruce Campbell's hilarious cameo.

MUSIC: Jeff Bond has it right about the fight between Toby McGuire and James Franco; best piece of music in the film. The rest is pretty much throw-away material... a lot of the Sandman music actually reminded me of Jerry Goldsmith's Deep Rising; strange!

Yeah Sean. I say enough about the flag waving. For the love of god, do we need to have Spider-Man hanging around an American flag every movie? I dunno what the hell Raimi was thinking with some of the decisions made in this flick. Just terrible.

The film was too long and too cluttered.

Piss poor and terrible are a tad extreme folks. Such descriptions need to be reserved for the true garbage that we are graced with from time to time.

Regarding a few recurring comments... If the dance number bugs you, I guess we should toss S2 for the goofy walk through the park music piece. On the topic of flags and 911...loosen your belts and lighten up folks.

Honestly, I really don't care about the film's faith to the comic origins. They don't have hundreds of issues to tell a story. Most people I spoke with felt the Pete, MJ, Harry ending rounded out a solid story arc for the characters over the three films.

The only part of the film I truly despised was the news cast portion. Lame, flacid attempt in speeding along the story to a cool, albeit forced climax.

I honestly didn't know Elfman and Raimi fell out with each other. That's too bad because a film score can make or break a lot of films and this film suffers in Elfman's absence.

It's not bad but a great score by Elfman with new cues, new ways to explore the themes from the first film and hearing them come together in this new film (or maybe even brand new themes)would have been great.

I guess I can say that as well:
    A score release will come.

Now maybe, somewhere on a board someone will write: "Some guy at moviemusic.com says that a score release will come."

Actually, that was "the guy" who created Young's web page, and he's supposedly close to him.

    Ho hum.

I was into the first half and thought the story was set up fairly well, considering how jam-packed it is, but after Sandman gets sucked down that drain pipe around midpoint, the whole thing just skids to a halt. And then it falls apart piece by piece. Plus I was having some character issues with Parker in the second half that were mirroring the problems I had with Anakin in Revenge of the Sith. "I'm not sure about this. But okay, I'ma gonna kill some little Jedi kids." And I'm paraphrasing there.

I thought Young was in fine form here. His Black Spiderman theme works well, and I especially love it when it pops up as Parker is just sitting on his bed brooding (as he does a lot it seems) and the theme kicks in, telling us exactly what's coming. Nice music for the ending atop the highrise with Sandman as well. I'll definitely snatch this one up if it comes out.

Can't wait for the release of the Spiderman 3 score. It will pair up nicely with the first one.

Film: Good fun until the final 20 minutes or so. Good work (mostly) by the actors, although Evil Peter with the dark hair put a very irritating picture of *dare I say it?* the Führer in my head. Loved J. K. Simmons and James Franco, although in the latter's case, it might have something to do with his inherent wickedness.

Score: Great fun when on its own. Changes to both Elfman and the re-writers were too noticeable. There was very good thematic and choral work to be heard, although I agree with others that Elfman's music is far more subtle and therefore probably more appropriate for the Spider-Man world. I'd love to have a CD for this one, though.

    In the end: ***.5/*****.

Apparently, a score release will be out together with the DVD. For those who speak some German, here's the link to "the guy" who already promised Young would get a CD release some time ago:

The web master of Chris Young's site is "that guy" and he posted on FSM about it too. Supposedly he said that Chris Young is working on the CD and that he's going to try and fit all of his original music on the CD. Just his music though non of Deborah Lurie's or John Debney's and even is going to try and get rejected cues on the disc too.

Hopefully this pans out to be true...would be nice to have an actual full disc of Chris Young's original music for Spidey 3.

JOke all you want, but this is an outrage. According to Music From The Movies, which I can only assume has reliable sources, a Spider-Man 3 Score album is DEFINITELY not happening.

I get that the music industry, hell, the world runs on the almighty dollar. That's precisely why this is an outrage. If there is demand, and there is for this item, why shouldn't they offer it to fans. If it's a printing cost factor, they could always distribute it through Connect or iTunes or something. I think somebody on high, regardless of whether or not they think it's worth their time to do so, from whatever company is involved owes me and all the other fans who want this score album a good explanation as to why the product we want most is not going to be available. I'd love to drop a few f-bombs, but like my venting, I have to wonder what good it will do.

Can't say I'm suprised by this. I mentioned before the film was released that the score would probably have to get released by Varese to see the light of day, if there was going to be a release at all.

For some reason Young has a problem getting his music released.

Wow, Spider-Man 3 just got a lot worse in my opinion. Kudos to Sony for screwing fans over once again! Keep it up

    For Sony Pictures,
Oh, and the only reason I'll be seeing your future investments into the James Bond franchise are solely for the character alone, make sure my money goes to the MGM Wing and the Broccoli family.

    Thank you,
    Andrew

I tmakes me wonder if Lucky You was cancelled to try and get Spider-Man 3. Of course, I may be off base in suggest that. But considering that Ghost Rider got released- I don't know.
