Apparently the first release will be limited to 1000 copies.

Cool... but it sounds like it's going to take a long time (not that it hasn't already). I want my Stargate music!

Yes. That and Helen of Troy are my top two unreleased Joel scores.

Currently we are printing two CD's....which ones? I can't say yet.

We also have clearance to release 3 others...but they are still
    in development...

Currently we are working on the 3rd release...which should
be completed sooner since we are more prepared on this one.
The music is ready to be mastered and we don't have to
go searching for music in the vaults!

During this whole process we have been able to catalog so much
of Joel's music that we are able to have access it without having
to dig up old CD's or DAT tapes. This should speed up the process
    of releasing future CD's.

We have taken a long time to release our first CD but I think it
will be well worth the wait. We have tried our best to bring you
a great selection of music for you to enjoy!

    Once again....stay tuned!

    G

I hope one of the 3rd first releases is a proper release of "Children Of The Gods" original score from Stargate SG-1.

Without minimizing what you're hoping is released, BigT, I personally am much more interested in other music from SG-1's laundry list of music than Joel's score from the pilot. While the pilot is certainly good, I think there's a wealth of material from latter seasons that's much more rewarding and developed.

I feel like Joel really established his own identity in the show once the show itself did, that is, they became comfortable with themselves around the same time (after Season 2). I can't imagine Joel obtaining the rights himself to release a Stargate franchise score, unless he worked that into his agreement in some way. That, or his relationship is super tight with the powers-that-be. If so, awesome - more power to him. I'm excited to see what FreeClyde will be offering. Helen of Troy wouldn't be a bad move, or hey - if we're doing Stargate, some of his stuff from Atlantis is phenomenal. Beyond the Night, anyone?

Joel has come along way, and a lot of what he's doing now, more than ever, reminds me of his father more than anything. I appreciate the differences in what they accomplish in their music, as well. Perhaps Joel inherited my affinity toward his father's music.

    Keep 'em coming, Maestro Goldsmith.

I am personally hoping for, at the very least, a "Best of" for each season of Stargate SG-1. Jeron is right... there's a treasure chest of music in every season. For example, I really hope to have the music heard when Jack first meets the Asgard on CD.

I love the pilot score, but it's really just a re-hash of David Arnold's efforts from the movie (of course, with some extra umph from Joel). I'm not even sure what's wrong with that release...?

What's wrong with it is they just re-hashed David Arnold's stuff instead of what Joel actually wrote for the episode....

Yeah, but what Joel wrote for the pilot was just re-mixed/inspired from Arnold. The point is that Joel really set his signature in the succeeding seasons, which is why I would hope for the very least a "Best of" from each season.

I agree. The stuff from the two past two seasons with the Ori have been fantastic to say the least. Perhaps my favorite music of the entire series.

Season 1 is already well represented on disc, and I'd love to see the rest of the seasons, hopefully in the same format.

Some people (*cough* Boggan *cough*) don't seem to like the suites but I thought they worked great.

I think there was more original music for SG-1's Pilot episode than what there is on the offical CD. I just think in post production at the last minute they decided to track in David Arnold's music from the movie Stargate into the show and presented that on CD.

As I said I would love to hear the original intended version of the score for "Children Of The Gods" instead of a hacked up version.
