I spent most of yesterday evening looking for a decent online store to order expanded editions of my favourite Morricone scores. It's quite a jungle out there.

The GDM label has recently released lavish expanded versions of Once Upon a Time in the West, The Good The Bad & The Ugly, For a Fistful of Dollars, and Cinema Paradiso.

    The details are here: http://www.gdmmusic.com/index.php?s=txt&f=catalogue
    Label numbers:
    GDM 2062 (or 2062LE)
    GDM 2066 (or 2066LE)
    GDM 4000
GDM / Edel Italia 0156982 (or GDM 7001)
If I understood correctly, these seem to be the definitive versions of the respective soundtracks at present. However I can't seem to order them directly from GDM - I emailed them to ask.

    Searching elsewhere got mixed results:
www.Amazon.com have the GB&U at a good price, but not the rest.
www.Amazon.co.uk has Fistful (but not the Jewel Case Limited Edition) and GB&U, but not the other two.
www.cduniverse.com has GB&U and Cinema Paradiso, as well as Fistful (but not the L.E.)
www.IBS.it has all 4, but not the Jewel Case limited editions, and the shipping prices are quite insane, even just from Italy to Malta (we're 90km apart!)
www.movies-soundtrack.com has Fistful (Jewel case special edition) and GB&U, but not the other 2.
www.colonnesonore.net just has Cinema Paradiso (you click on the GDM label in the 'shopping' right column)

    Any help?
Has any of you tried the last 3 sites before, and would you recommend them? My past experience with Italian postal service isn't that great.
I'm trying to find 1 store that has all 4 to make the shipping charges less prohibitive, but so far no luck.

I got Good, Bad and Ugly at a record store for 10 bucks, I got the other two from Screen Archives Entertainment or SAE, great company to deal with.

Thanks - found 3 of them at Screen Archives - GB&U, and the limited edition jewel case versions of the expanded Pugno and West (and at decent prices compared to elsewhere). Also, the shipping rates are decent too.

Now I'll just order Cinema Paradiso from somewhere else...

p.s. Also found Demoltion Man, London Sessions Vol. 3, Of Mice and Men and Christus Apollo in the bargain bin.

www.ColonneSonore.net comes highly recommended. Found the expanded Cinema Paradiso for €12 and it arrived within 48 hours of ordering. Great stuff. He also has loads of obscure italian TV and film soundtracks, including a plethora of Morricone ones.

(Granted, I'm in Europe... not sure about US shipping rates in fact)
