LLL is saying this is the first ever studio-approved release. Are they thus implying SAE's version is a bootleg? It appears LLL's source is the SAE master... same contents.

Regardless, I am glad it will be available again. Tired of saying no to people when they write in asking to buy classic scores.

The SAE one was a composer produced promo. This is the first official release of this masterpiece. It was a joy to work on this one.

I see. But I'll joke now... Moross passed away some 15 years before he apparently produced his promo. I guess he didn't make it to composer heaven if he still needs promotion after his death, but I'd argue against this because if there are any Moross's scores that DON'T need promoting, it's Big Country! And another thing... if getting to composer heaven requires writing a score worthy of it, Moross is easily in.

But like I said, I am glad it's back. I hope 3000 copies can last 10 years. A classic score doesn't deserve to be limited. My opinion obviously does not consider how the "business" has changed to "force" labels to choose limited editions or none at all, so that doesn't need to be addressed. It's just a sentiment.

Wow! This is one of my favorite scores, and the Silva re-recording gets frequent play around here. It'll be a real treat to have the original tracks.

One more question from me: Is the LLL version really 74 minutes? That's 1 3/4 minutes longer than the SAE one.
