We All Love Ennio MorriconeLast Week:
Henry V by Patrick Doyle
Brilliant stuff throughout. Full of classy themes and great music. I Love the St. Crispin's Day theme especially. Excellent CD.The week before that:
American History X by Anne Dudley
Quite a good score overall, but after about 5 or 6 listens I found myself skipping ahead to the track 'Playing to Win' which is the spectacular highlight of the CD. I had it on repeat for ages. I've never heard anything so powerful from Dudley. You'd think she was scoring some epic medieval battle, not a 4-a-side basketball match. The climax of the cue (when the game is won) is brilliant. I just re-rented the DVD just to watch that scene. Pity the score isn't mixed in louder.posted 02-27-2007 01:37 PM PT (US)

King Arthur right now. Didn't like it at first, but there is something about this score.

Camillu, you listen to the same score the entire week?I gave Doyle's Hamlet a spin last week and it's great stuff... right up there with Henry V.
