HI there. I saw the director's cut for Kingdom of Heaven last night and really enjoyed the movie. But I liked the score alot more. I was wondering if anyone had heard if they are going to make an extended version of the score, like they did for LOTR? The longer cut had alot of music in it, I would say close to 3 hours. Thanks.

    Very Doubtful.

LOTR score(s) have a large fan base. "Kingdom of Heaven" was for the most part a bomb for Fox.

PS: Sorry about the thumbs up. I thought I picked the normal "paper" one.

I am also doubtful, but with like nothing better than to see an extended versions of such an outstanding score.

If I remember right, there's not THAT much music missing. A lot of the score was from other movies. Good movie though, the extended cut is WAY better.

I checked out the extended version this summer. I hadn't seen the film at all before, and I really enjoyed it. Both classy and unpretentious. I got a kick out of hearing the Goldsmith piece in there as well. The cue was well used... or temped, rather...

The only cue missing from the album that I'm interested in having is for the head-splitting "Attack In The Forest" sequence at the beginning, where Schindler and his merry men are ruthlessly ambushed by cross-bow wiedling Frenchmen; action-packed, yo!!!

It seemed like the extra hour from the director's cut had all music in the background. I thought they had created new music for this extended cut.
