CD CLUB GOES THE DISTANCE!
Date: 10/25/2006
The CD Club goes back into the ring for a knockout punch of new titles before the final bell rings on the year. November 6 ... we’ll be here … you be here!
Save up! Be ready! Some of these titles are gonna fly!__________________________________________
So, aside from the obvious ROCKY release, what else will they have for us?James

Would be nice if we get the full score for Back To The Future this time around...

new stuff from BSX too:quote:
Next month we'll be releasing a CD with three action-packed scores from a single composer who began his career At Roger Corman's company in the 1980's.After that we'll be putting out an unreleased score by a long-time Hollywood veteran film composer from a early 80's SCI-FI Epic starring one of the Genre's best known actors.....
Let the guessing begin!

Hmm, I wonder what this 80's score could be...

Bet you anything that the three scores are from Horner...but damned if I can figure out what they are.

Another well known veteran is also Silvestri.quote:

That Varese blurb is way too obvious to me, although another Rocky soundtrack would tie-in with the two or three other Rocky CDs coming out at the end of the year. But the Club discs don't need to ride coattails of any other marketing... they are infamous in and of themselves and hardly need promoting considering the limited edition nature. Anyway, if the Varese blurb is too obvious, does this mean we'll see some other "high-flying" scores? Probably not, but continuing with Bernstein might mean Airplane! (aka "Flying High") and why the heck not... Airplane 2!. But pffssssttt... Paramount. No go.
BSX stuff usually means junk, it's likely three Ron Jones "action" scores on the one CD.There aren't many "epic" early 80s sci-fi films left that don't have their scores released. A "veteran hollywood composer" is vague vague vague. I could care less to guess, but it would be funny if it's Andy Belling's Hangar 18, the UFO movie with Robert Vaughn.

Varese usually does not give clues, the slight hint for the Goldsmith box was the only time I can recall them doing that.
But given the recent Conti releases there's a possibility it could be a hint.
Of course it just could be Varese having some fun at our expense and it means there will be two 1000 unit releases that will disappear within 24 hours.Airplane! would be fantastic.
