I enjoy movie scores with Christmas themes like Home Alone, Miracle on 34th Street, The Santa Claus, Elf, their are even action scores like Die hard and Jennifer 8 That contain christmas music.

Do you know of any others?

Have Yourself a Scary Little Christmas (Tales From The Crypt stuff)
Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics (South Park stuff)

...ooops. We got to the darker side of Christmas.

Maybe not politically correct - and definitely NOT movie music - but both albums contain plenty of jaunty music and lots of laughs for those who still dare to laugh.

Actually when speaking of the "darker side" of Christmas, one should not forget Gordon Goodwin's original HAUNTED MANSION HALLOWEEN (Disneyland) nor Danny Elfman's later version - not forgetting Elfman's terrific (and terrifying) SCROOGED... Also Shirley Walker's main theme for TURBULENCES is quite deliciously dark Christmas music.

Ooooh, almost forgot this one from the more bright & happy Christmas stuff: "The Closing of the Year" from TOYS. And MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL, especially with its delicate and warm "One More Sleep Till Christmas". And not forgetting Bruce Broughton's beautiful ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS (the little sister of his MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET).

...I guess it's time again to update the personal Christmas compilations.

    KEN

I always thought that parts of 'Little Women' (Thomas Newman) sounded festive.
