I hope no one minds this topic? Can anyone recommend a place who can transfer a LP to a CD? For a resonable price? I might be purcashing a LP on Ebay (hopefully) Thanks so much.

Doesn't MovieMusic offer that service? I have this distinct belief that Moviemusic.com offers it or at least used to.

Dinko, I used to do it a ton... but it seems nearly everything I was doing for customers would show up on CD within a year!

Mutiny on the Bounty, Farewell My Lovely, Let's Do It Again, Rollerball, Baby Doll, Soylent Green (argh, that was actually an isolated LD track to CD transfer... someone was nuts enough to request such a service).

But I guess not everything has made it to CD officially... Barefoot in the Park, Harry and the Hendersons, Interlude, Caligula, The Black Hole, Meatballs, My Side of the Mountain...

    Soundwave, what LP?

Sorry but this is the website that has a good picture of the album. I hope that's ok to post? I don't have the software or the record player to do the transfer. Thank you.

I just recently purchased an LP cause it is the only version I have ever seen the soundtrack. Does anyone have any recommendations of a service that will do the transfer for me (clean the pops, hiss, transfer to CD etc.)? I don't plan on really having all that many LP's in my collection so I do not really want to spend all the money to get the equipment necessary to do such a transfer. Any recommendations or help would be great!

    Hey PeterK,

Does Moviemusic offer the LP to CD transfer service for albums other than soundtracks?

    Natedogg,

Drop me a line at: STURGES47@EARTHLINK.NET

If you start with an LP in pretty good condition, you might be impressed with what can be achieved with current technology.

I remember seeing somewhere recently a combo CD/tape/LP recorder where you could record from LP to CDR. Not really sure it did much to get rid of pops and clicks or other "noise". Anyone have/use this technique?

Well I just went online and there are a few places that would do the transfer. I haven't decided yet though...
