If you haven't picked up a Shigeru Umebayashi score by now, make this your first. With its obvious asian connections, it remains remarkably western in scope and drama.

The fading in and out on "Tianjin Fight" and other tracks is a little weird (almost defective-like), but still, lots of emotional scoring here....

How would you compare it to Chungking Express, 2046, and House of Flying Daggers?

Yes, same question. But the bigger query is In the Mood For Love . . .

Does the soundtrack CD of Chungking Express contain score cues?

MarkA, there's a bunch of score cues on Chungking Express! Check it, it's an awesome CD.
