Yes, it's another Cinemusic preview. This one is a hell-uva lotta fun. Check out five clips from Marco Beltrami's THE OMEN score, you sons of hyenas!

I read some remarks at FSM that expressed disappointment over this, that it sounded too much like a Beltrami score (um... yeah?), but after hearing these clips I'm excited to hear the rest. Like listening to Morricone, I got over Beltrami's scores sounding similar many a year ago, because it's simply a poor argument. Beltrami clearly has his own voice, his own methods of working within this craft, and those who have not liked it up until now probably will continue not to. That said, the orchestration I heard in Ryan's clips has a nice variety to it, and I admire Beltrami for making it his own and not simply recycling Goldsmith into it--which would be easy to do with such a classic score.

Gotta agree with Al, this sounds pretty interesting...Beltrami seldom underwhelms me, and he definitely has a distinct sound (to me, at least).

His action music is usually pretty intense, and 'Omen' should be a big departure from "Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada". Too much to buy!
