Once again proving that "clues" are fairly useless to speculation about what is being released.

Unless I missed, it seemed like there was no speculation here. Guess we figured there was no point. FSM's board had the usual 5 pages of banter on it. Good for them.
Anyway, I ordered Ghostbusters. Which is great - now I can dream about Gremlins.

I had a gut feeling we might see Ghostbusters soon, especially with Spacehunter getting released and Arista re-issuing the original soundtrack.
I ordered that and Delerue, which I expect will be sold out by tonite.

how strange the Delerue is STILL up for sale. I mean, it didn't take 5 minutes for it to get sold out, being the 1,000-unit release.Ghostbusters, man. 'bout time! Though, I am not quite so sure that score warranted the "extreme" announcement.

Wow, and one title is sold out from Varese before I even get home from work. Rather lame IMHO. I have to wonder at this point who these 1000 copy releases are for, the soundtrack collector/film music fan or the soundtrack speculator on eBay?[Message edited by jonathan_little on 03-06-2006]

And there is a nice quote from LOCK UP at the end of that clip as well.

Sorry to do this to you buddy, but you *do* know that you're just a fanboy who's whining for no reason again, right? It was up to you to take a day off for the most important event of the year.

Older titles that were sold out within the first few hours are being sold around $15-$20. Okay, some idiots try to sell 'em for $100 but I don't think that works. No worries I guess.
I'm glad I live in Europe. The new club CD's go online in the early morning over here. I bought copies for me and two fellow collectors that are a bit older and don't buy online.

Ordered GHOSTBUSTERS for myself and my brother Daniel. With STRIPES and SPACEHUNTER having been released, I am keeping my fingers crossed (on one hand, anyway) for a legit HEAVY METAL sometime in the near future. Not holding my breath, mind you.....but a fella can hope, right?

Argh....i hate that thes things sell out so fast. I still want THE KINDRED (never woulda thought THAT one'd sell out, never mind as fast as it did) and TOP SECRET.Speaking of Conti/M.O.T.U. - anyone know if there's copies of it on disk floating around out there? I have a very bad, old, warbly, warped cassette of it i badly need to replace. I love the main theme, and there's some other stuff in there I cherish (mainly b/c i was such a He-Man fan growing up).
Good score, one of my faves of his, as "cheesy" as it may be.

I received 3 of the new Varese Club CDs today. I placed two orders within minutes of each other so i was expecting to receive two seperate packages. What I wasn't expecting was that one of them would be sent to an older address that I don't use anymore despite the fact that the packing slip indicates my current address. Fortunately, that package was intercepted by the front office and I am now happily looking at the 3 titles I ordered.GHOSTBUSTERS

Am I gonna be the only one to point out the crossed out Varese logo on the Ghostbusters disc? It's brilliant. I guess I'm the bigger fanboy of the lot of you crazies. The biggest fanboy will let me know if Varese has ever done anything like this before with their logo.... so step up!

I did notice the crossed out logo, but I guess I was too distracted by the amazing sound quality on the disc itself to mention it. It's an impressive release. Also, I'm loving Rookie of the Year. It's fairly short but everything on there I remember from the movie (which either says something about me or about the music.) What a great score, and I'm thrilled to have it on disc at last.
I really don't like A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon, as its rarely memorable and usually synthesized, but Bushwhacked is a nice inclusion. I also instantly recognized the adventure theme from this--as well as the ending theme, but that's because it's a pathetic attempt to disguise his Masters of the Universe theme, which isn't set up at any point of the score and is rather jarring. Temp track wins this one.

Got "Ghostbusters" and the Conti disc."Ghostbusters" is pretty nice. While it's nice to have them, I kind of understand why some of those cues were dropped from the film...though it's nice to hear the original take of "Get Her!".
The three Conti scores are nice, but I find myself going back to "Bushwhacked". The lack of pictures could lead one to believe that the score was added as an afterthought. And now, for my two cents on the alleged Hornering: this same melody appeared in "Lock Up" and no one breathed a syllable. Curious.
