I think Lakeshore is also supposed to release Jim Dooley's WHEN A STRANGER CALLS, but I haven't seen it listed anywhere.

Uh oh. At first glance, it looks like the Underworld Evolution score has been pulled and may not be released after all. Release date in industry databases has changed to 12/31/2025, aka "the release date of death." Hope this is a fluke....

If this was pulled then how do you explain Doug Fake's review here:

P.S. I see he's "out of stock" which may be because he sold out right away.

Easy. CDs were manufactured, promos went out. I have one here as well and think I already commented on it a week or two ago.

My theory: the bomb dropped after the promos went out and someone discovered (before the release date) that the NIN song performed by Flyleaf may not have been authorized properly, if at all. In any event, I am pretty sure there are boxes of these things at various distributors, but the stop sign has been posted.

Then it's too bad they decided to include the songs on the score CD.

Looks like you have yourself a collectable there Peter.

If what I suspect is correct, it would be in Lakeshore's interest to have the problem fixed in good time so the score release can be issued in tandem with the DVD.

Ah, but on my CD the way the UPC is chopped out of the back insert makes me wince. Collectible or not, it's ugly. The real collectibles are the ones sitting in the warehouses all boxed up... the ones no one can get to!

My Best Buy had 1 copy in. If this is true, I'm glad I was able to buy a copy before they are pulled.

When I went to my local Best Buy on Tuesday evening, I was told they had gotten two copies and they were already gone. Considering that they rarely get new score releases in on time, I'm wondering if they had pulled them or whether they had even gotten them at all.
That being said, I went to my local Tower Records this afternoon and they had four copies. I purchased one, at a ludicrous price. If Doug reviewed the disc this week, it's probably because he had gotten copies to sell, not a promo. I'm wondering if this just isn't a distribution issue...

Has anybody heard the rest of this score? The End Credits on "Film Music Radio" a few weeks back recalled prime Chris Young, though I'm not sure if that was some thematic release Dooley was allowed for the end credits or if he follows through with the sort of romantic horror sound for all of it.

FishChip, is it still due in 2025 or is your pre-order page the correct one: http://www.moviemusic.com/soundtrack/underworldevolution-score

The release date has changed to something a little less ominous, but my particular supplier for this one claims 0 in stock. No ideas what's happening, although Lakeshore says there are no legal problems with the CD. That's good. NIN has caused problems for people in the past. Hopefully more people will have the chance to get this CD soon.

I tried ordering a copy online from Tower Records over the weekend, and it showed up in my mailbox this afternoon. I actually got the cd before the shipment confirmation e-mail! It was a bit on the pricey side, but it's nice to finally have the score. With both this and S.U.N. showing up, today was a pretty good day.
