    DAVID JULYAN - the following

    A CD of the score to the Following is released by Cinefonia Records in France, availble to order from thier website.

    The CD contains the complete score to Following, 2 previously unreleased cues from Memento and a selection of the score from Spivs.

    Hmmm, I enjoyed Julyan's work somewhat on Memento - but that may have more to do with my love of the film - and Insomnia is a really good one - although I haven't given it a listen in a good while - but his score to Following is a tad too bit underscore for even my tastes. Very minimalistic approach there; reminds me of Clint Mansell's work on Aronofsky's Pi.

    Speaking of which, any news on what Mansell is doing with the score for Aronofsky's latest, The Fountain? Last I heard, he was trying to gather some sort of special ensemble to perform it, similar to Kronos Quartet working on Requiem for a Dream. The movie looks to be amazing, I just hope Mansell delivers a good score (more towards Sahara than Doom).
