I can't say I enjoyed this morning. Some pretty horrid things were said between people and about this board, some of it I had never heard before. Quite shocking to me that people might think of the community here with such strong negativity.

I appreciate everyone who posts here with the idea that if you want to get something good out of this community, you should expect to contribute in the same manner. I have found the discourse here very enjoyable in the last few years.

Apparently, others believe there has been nothing but sucking going on... which is kind of surprising. Perhaps people don't remember the likes of Daniel2... one who went absolutely nuts on every soundtrack message board on the planet? Now that was sucking. That was also more than three or four years ago.

    Just a reminder:

Everyone who visits and participates in this community is a real person. I don't care how important you may think you are, but to seriously joke about someone's real identity in this community is not welcome at all. How not welcome? I'd say after Dex, Hollywood Girl and other he-men turned she-men, suggesting any regular participant is not who they are is the most vicious violation of what a sense of "community" is all about. The unity part, if you know what I mean.

I can't wait to wake up and start this day over again. Man.

Thanks for reading, and thanks to everyone who's had fun on these message boards at one time or another. That's why they were put here.

    What the heck happened?

Oh, and by the way, I'm not human; I'm an automated machine from Fox used to plug their entertainment: X-MEN 3, IN THEATERS IN MAY. BUY THE TOYS. BUYS THE HAPPY MEALS. BUY THE SOUNDTRACK FEAT. KANYE WEST, PUSSYCAT DOLLS, GREEN DAY, FALL OUT BOY, AND A SELECTION OF THE MUSICAL SCORE BY JOHN POWELL ('ROBOTS').

That's the last I saw of that. Suffice it to say it was a weird, uncalled for and rather disturbing conversation. It nonetheless raises once again the concept of identity on the the Internet and anonymity.

Now, that'd be nightmare. I'm still waiting for Ryan to imagine his way out of that retarded post he put up in the New World thread; but like most of his posts, he put his foot in his mouth without thinking.

I guess I was probably in on some of that at the tail end, one of the perpetrators took a verbal swing at me when I posted about my enjoyment of re-recordings, and my reply to him was a bit on the sarcastic bitch-slap side to let some of that overinflated air out. Sorry about that. But I'm too old and crusty to tolerate rudeness from the local schoolyard bullies and take perverse enjoyment in shoving them back in their places. I'll try to be a better boy. At least until next conflagration.

P.S. You have a nice forum here, Peter.

Did anyone else here notice LaLaLand Records is releasing Jerry Goldsmith's Breakheart Pass in March?

Peter it's been about 9 or 10 years since I started visiting your sites and I'm still here. Keep up the good work.

Well, I didn't know that Mark, Breakheart Pass is one of my faves.

And Pete, keep up the good work!

Great G. Hill, just what we need, another guy like me around here. Like Nelse McCloud says in EL DORADO, one day we'll have to see who's the quickest...which is just another way of saying I can return anything you have to dish.

    Hey, that Breakheart sounds good.

Peter, I would say that whoever it was was rude, crude and unnattractive.

LOL. This is the best board. No doubt of that. J.

Yech. Yes, I remember Daniel2. I got into it with him several times. I apologized to him myself at one point in the belief that if I behaved in a mature manner, it might induce him to. I was wrong, although I remember getting a lot of e-mails from people at the time telling me that my ire was understandable.

There's really no excuse for this sort of nonsense. I mean, we're all here for the same damn reason, because we like film scores and want to discuss them. It's really not that difficult to be courteous.
