Congrats to Mr. Williams for one of the best scores of 2005.

Yeah, I wish it was Munich he was winning for, but I guess not.

The score with the most famous foreign performers wins the award manufactured by foreigners, duh!

But credit is due. I believe I might be furious if any of the other nominations were elected. Hopefully this isn't the only award for Williams for 2005.

Fantastic news!!! Well deserved, great score like always!

It's also amazing that this is the first major award for Williams during the internet era. By now he should have had at least two or three Oscars.

I have never been a fan of Williams. I've never really been like "oh he sucks!", I mean he has written some of the most memerable themes ever, but really his scores as a whole haven't impressed me much... until this year. I was very happy to see Memoirs of a Geisha win, and if that didn't get it, I was hoping for Chronicles. But overall, I think Memoirs deserved it. Now Memoirs was a great score, however, I do think Munich is better. It seemed like even the performance of the score was much more heartfelt than most scores recently. I mean, yeah we've had our dramatic vocal parts in all these scores recently, but Lisabeth Scott seemed to really get into Williams' score and give it her all.

Congratulations to Maestro Williams! I am happy he won after so long time. The Memoirs score deserves the award. Beautiful music.

Congrats to Williams. I admit I haven't heard the score yet. I'm also annoyed by my regular newspaper saying that Brokeback Mountain won best picture and also "best music"... but I guess I'm not surprised.

I certainly now know what the main theme for Brokeback Mountain sounds like since it was played so many times.

I thought John Williams acceptance speach was simple, and quite nice. Good for him!
