I just saw Shopgirl last week finally and enjoyed the film, maybe not as much as I expected, but still great. I bought the score on iTunes yesterday, it's done by composer Barrington Pheloung. It's a splendid collection of music that I thought went with the film in a perfect way and sounds wonderful now at home too.

Phelong's work on the Inspector Morse series was very good, as was his feature scores for Truly, Madly, Deeply and Nostradamus. In the case of the Morses and Nostradamus, he not only composed the score, but also arranged the source music using period instruments.

I thought the score from Shopgirl may be his most moving work. It was nothing short of gorgeous.
