Well, to me, Howard's album releases usually recieve a 45-minute run time, but I think this baby might clock in with a good 60-minutes, being a good Decca release and being a part of a three hour film. Something tells me those five "Beauty Killed the Beast" cues (or suites, who knows?) are giving truthfulness to my propecy of Kong saying goodbye to everyone through 45-minutes of falling off the Empire. It's Jackson's only choice after that bloated RotK ending.

Actually those final five tracks are for when Kong simultaneously loses the will to live while giving birth to twins.

Isnt one of the twins suppose to grow up even more powerful than Kong himself. At least it's an original concept.

Yeah, I think this is true. But we have to realize that the original propechies put forth that claimed Kong is the chosen one through the miracle of midochlorians . . . eh, never mind. So, which baby is born first?

I like Craig's sequel title, I also enjoy these titles: Attack of the Kongs, Kong Returns, Kong Begins (you know, in case they have to restart the franchise), Kong Too, The Kong Supremacy, or that old fallback: Kong 2: Electric Boogaloo.

That's good stuff, Gae. Although I am still sorta shocked at how positive PJ is about JNH... I got a weird sense that he seemed almost relieved not to have Shore around.

Peter Jackson, smiling the whole time:

"I've got a strange feeling that inspiration kicks in when the time is short... I wonder if the music would have been any better if JNH had more time... I think we've been blessed with an incredible adrenaline rush and all the inspiration that goes with that. I think it's benefitted the movie in a funny, weird way."

Maybe the pressures gotten to PJ and he's cracked.....

Or maybe he just drank way too much Red Bull.

The whole situation is weird but I'm sure the reason for the rejection of Shore's score will eventually come out in the wash. I like what I heard of Shore's score but it did have a more old-fashioned Steiner-esque quality compared to what JNH seems to be doing. Perhap's PJ, or the executives felt that the music, good as it maay have been, was not working well with the modern visuals. A production diary on Shore is also available further down. I think it's the 13 weeks to go diary.
I'm sure JNH will do a great job incidentally.

Naomi Watts was on the Tonight Show last night and I got to see my first clip of the movie. Was really surprised at how 'over the top' the Kong vs T Rex(s) scene is.

sequel = Kong 2, World Federation Wrestling Edition
