The themes presented here are some of the strongest I've heard all year and even since Marco Beltrami's work on Hellboy. There is just a lot of great music to be heard in these clips; easily catapulting this to my most anticpated score of the holiday season. It's really good to see Gregson-Williams getting the projects he deserves and filling them with such fitting music. Some real stand-outs for me were "Evacuating London", "From the Western Woods to Beaversdam", "To Aslan's Camp", "Knighting Peter", "The Stone Table", and "The Battle".

In default of quicktime i cannot listen to the samples, but the notes paint the score to me quite well. I can hardly wait until the 13th of december to get this score! I have always loved HGW's work and this habit's gonna continue
And thanks Disney for a lengthy (i.e. not below 40 mins) album!

The clips sound promising indeed. HGW is at the moment one of my favorite younger generation film composers. There is only the problem of MV sounding percussion and the MV style power anthem main theme. I hope HGW gets out that habit of returning to MV sound.

Yum, sounds tasty indeed (is that an oxymoron?)
I just hope HGW didn't come too close to Kingdom Of Heaven, which returned to my "Top 5 contenders" list for next year's Academy Awards. That's kind of surprising for me, but two of the top contenders(Episode III and Goblet Of Fire) dissapointed me, and one just got cancelled (you know what I speak of).

Yeah I'm interested in this score now after hearing the sound clips, but originally I wasn't. The "To Aslan's Camp" theme is incredible, I can't wait to hear it in "The Battle" cue! I'd diagree with Incanus, however, about HGW's "sound": I think he does sound very different from a lot of the MV composers and has developed his own style; Kingdom of heaven could have been such a typical MV score, but I think he did something different and it was more-or-less a success.

I did not mean all of the score sounded like MV or that HGW has no own compositional voice. His past few scores have been impressive (Kingdom of Heaven was absolutely gorgeous)and his score for Narnia sounds very good but to my ears has little that MV sound there. HGW is a great composer and I have every faith in his abilities. I probably will buy the score when it comes out. Thematic ideas sound strong and the score very promising. HGW own voice is unique and it is once again displayed here in Narnia.
