Good interview D, but I'm still not too fond of Revell even though I constantly find myself buying his scores. Go figure.

Thanks nuts. What scores by him do you own?

I have the same problem with Brian Tyler - the only score of his that I really like is Children Of Dune...but I have a buttload of his other scores, and frankly, I just don't care for them. Same with John Ottman, although after buying only a couple of his CDs, I promptly stopped.

As for Revell, most of his stuff I don't care for. As I've said elsewhere, I do really enjoy his contribution to Sin City, and look forward to what he comes up with for the sequel (well, given he comes back, but if Rodriguez got him and Debney to co-score Shark Boy and Lava Girl, I certainly imagine they'd do another Sin City...).

In order of my, eh, favorite: The Crow, Red Planet, The Siege, The Saint, Chronicles of Riddick, Sin City, Pitch Black and Bride of Chucky promo, Assault on Precinct 13, and Daredevil.

I believe you'd be wise to seek out "Street Fighter" and "Power Rangers". I have them and they are Revell at his zenith. Not so hot on "Hard Target", though. I'm mulling over selling it.

Just listen to his new Call Of Duty 2 score, and you'll see that Revell can still write a melodic orchestral piece.

    NP: Legend Of Zorro
