I've had the same problem ever since I started using the internet --- although in my case, it's not only threads that drop dead after I've meddled in; more than once entire discussion forums have dropped dead after I've joined them.

In five years at this message board, I've seen a lot of very active threads drop dead after I posted in them. That wears one down after a while.Oh yes, Captain, do I too know of what you speak. Probably hold a record for the longest original posts to the shortest threads. Makes one feel like a social leper.
