    Who is worst at what?
I think Mark Snow is better than Revell. Because Snow uses a more conventional approach (other than Disturbing Behavior), rather than expriementing with percussion and electronics and creating some odd soundscape like Revell.
Mark Snow has very little out there to compare to Revell, in fact I only know of 4 featrured films that Mark Snow has scored.
X-Files, Born to be Wild, Disturbing Behavior, and I think the other is called Alabama.

Theres also a TV movie he scored called 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. which is pretty good.

    Why do you ask?

Strange to group these two for comparison.

It's hard to remember Snow for anything other than the X-files.

I agree this is a strange comparison, but Mark Snow's Crazy In Alabama score is pretty good. It's very different than anything in X-Files, and it's fully orchestral.

I like Revell's music for The Saint, The Crow, The Negotiator, and Red Planet is also very memorable. I'll go with Revell over Snow today.

Why don't you ask "Who is worst Williams or Goldsmith"?

That ought to set the cat among the pigeons.

I'll answer your question though. Who is worst between Mark Snow and Grame Revell?

    Hans Zimmer. Always.

    Just kidding.

    Sometimes it's Horner.

Revell is MUCH worse. Go and rent Ernest Saves Christmas, Mark Snows music in that is PURE magic, VERY VERY Christmasie feeling. I have the soundtrack and it's wonderful, I also love his Disturbing Behavior score as well. Revell, I have a few of his soundtracks and they seem to be theme less and just so BLAH BLAH BLAH, I do have his Daredevil and thats the only one I can stomach. Sorry Revell, and his new Fog score another BLAH BLAH score he didn't use any of Carpenter's music and after hearing his, which had 1 theme which was about 3 notes long, made Carpenters music seem like Oscar material.

Can't say I'm too familiar with Snow's stuff (although, I do recall his theme from the short-lived The Lone Gunmen - that was pretty catchy). For the most part, the Revell stuff I hear doesn't usually impress me, but I loved the two cues of his score from From Dusk Till Dawn that were actually released (I think there's a bootleg out there somewhere) and I think that his music for Sin City was the best between the three composers on that project.

I'll say it time and time again... Snow's contributions to Smallville place him well in the ranks of a highly-capable composer. I always really liked his stuff for X-Files, but Smallville gives him some other colors to work with, and he does it beautifully.
