Finally, FSM has released Jerry Goldsmithīs outstanding score to COMA. It is a double cd with Fred Karlinīs WESTWORLD and Roy Buddīs THE CAREY TREATMENT (no, that story is not about how to treat Mariah Carey )

    Great news

    Philipp

np: "enemy at the gates" (james horner)

I'm a big fan of Fred Karlin. He, like Johnny Mandel and others, were never really taken seriously as composers. I wish someone would release Karlin's UP THE DOWN STAIRCASE and YOURS, MINE AND OURS (both originally released by United Artists) as well as THE STERILE CUKOO (by Paramount) as well as Mandel's HARPER and THE RUSSIANS ARE COMING.

    Ordered!

I listened to the clips, and something caught my ear at the end of the last Coma sound clip: "No Address/After Hours/Up for Bids/Illegal Parking." Just as this cue ends, there's a short string phrase which sounds remarkably like a phrase from "Panic!" in Chris Young's Copycat score. Perhaps Young was purposely giving a nod to the score? Very possible it's coincidental, but if you have the time check it out and tell me what you think.
