Looking forward to Desplat's "Syriana", Debney's "Zathura", Beltrami's "Three Buriels", the Danna's "Tideland" (new Gilliam flick!!), Yared's "The Decameron", Gregson-Williams' "Domino", Shore's "A History of Violence" & "King Kong", Silvestri's "Beowulf", and, of course, Doyle's "HP & the Golblet of Fire". I'm also interested in Doyle's "Jekyll + Hyde". I had no idea they were making a new version of this but alas: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0425150/ . Looks kinda interesting, and the director has the same last name as mine! Freaking weird. . .

Too bad Ennio doesn't make the list anymore, but I suppose that's because very few of us, if any, will see the films he's scoring. He's doing such incredible work still.

Here's a link to Mr. Morricone's IMDb page: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001553/ . He's got a few projects coming as you can see and I still don't understand why he gets any credit on the list; but hey, some great talents never get the recognition they truly deserve.

And at least we know he's still working (ahem, I'm looking at you Basil. You can't live off royalties from "Red Dawn" and "Conan the Barbarian" the rest of your life).

"The list below presents all the major film composers working in Hollywood and their upcoming feature film scoring assignments."

That's why Morricone isn't included, he is (regrettably) not very active in Hollywood these days. But I'm constantly adding composers to this list, and of course Morricone should be included. I'll have a look at it.

I do understand why he doesn't show up on the list--as far as his connection to Hollywood, he might as well be Salinger--but he's my favorite living composer, so I hate to see him missing when he's still working hard, even if he is MIA in the US.

Desplat now confirmed for both Syriana and Casanova. That's good news.

Alan Silvestri will not be scoring Firewall, due to a scheduling conflict with The Wild. The opening dates are too close. You can check out the Silvestri site for this.
