Bruce Broughton is scoring a "Bambi" movie, NICE!!!!
Here comes another one of those trips to the checkout counter where you get that same perverted look from the cashier as they scan your "Bambi" CD along with whatever else you can find to buy to take some attention away from the fact that you are there with a CD that says "Bambi".

Let's start a new thread, shall we, similar to the "Guilty Pleasures" thread that was here a while back. What's the best item to buy along with a CD, that will help to distract from the fact that you are an adult male going to the store to purchase a "Bambi" soundtrack?

I don't know, maybe the latest edition of Sports Illustrated, or Maxim, or how about some Fantasy Football summer camp magazines. That would be my guess...

You guys and gals should weigh in on this one!

    Peace Out!

I don't think buying Bambi would be as bad as buying the Gigli CD...

Talk about your double-edged swords; the good news is that Broughton's got work. The bad news? A TV movie? A direct to video sequel? For God's sake, won't someone give this guy a feature?!

It’s true that he is a very talented composer and deserves so much more than what’s he’s currently getting.

What puzzles me is . . . where are the producers that were hiring Goldsmith? They could be getting comparable work out of people like Broughton, McNeely, and Poledouris.

The word from a friend who works for a production company is that the young studio execs are going for people who are "hot."

Thank God we will have TWO John Williams scores this summer. The only other thing I'm looking forward to is David Newman's score for SERENITY next fall.

How dare you, Scoreguy. Gigli was the best film of the year that year. Look out. J.
