We no longer have to care whether or not the MASK CD of John Barry's King Kong is legit, as now FSM is shipping this CD in the coming weeks.

Order from wherever you like. Now available in the MovieMusic store:

Not a limited edition, $16.99. Like their Born Free disc, it's a re-issue of the Reprise stereo LP.

Well I guess I can home tonite and toss the "Mask" cd out the window.

Too bad this is the LP re-issue only but it's better than nothing.

This score along with Star Wars was one of the first LPs I bought back in 1977.

Really great and unexpected news about this release of KING KONG... That Mask release sounds like crap and I will be happy to give it a heave-ho and replace it with this one. I'm also very excited about Kaper's score for QUENTIN DURWARD. I saw this swashbuckler on TCM last year and it was very entertaining.

You LIAR! You weren't entertained, you were mildly amused at best!

Fab news. The first time I heard Barry's King Kong, I was intrigued by a brief passage in a track called Sacrifice. And I was hoping that Barry would take that passage and enlarge upon it. And luckily he did just that in a track called Blackout in New York.
