    did anyone catch the new family guy last night? they did a big homage to north by northwest and it included a lot of herrmann's score. great stuff.

    Yes, excellent. Family Guy is usually pretty good with that stuff (i.e. Randy Newman after the millenium, John Williams with Best Original Score for a porn.)

    I picked up on that too...love the show and the tributes to film music. What they need is a score release. Some of their shows have good pieces on them

    Family Guy has always been very cognizant of music. In one episode ("Family Guy Viewer Mail #1") a genie grants Peter three wishes... one of them is for his own theme music which plays appropriately for whatever he is doing. This gets him into trouble on a commuter train (told by a thug to turn the music down).

    Sunday's episode was a pretty good start for the show's return.

    Awesome show with generally great gags and funniest comedy all around. The music was deadon. Not spoofing but clearly in the spirit of the original.
