Hoping, for a change, that those looking forward to the immenent release of the Revenge of the Sith score would avoid the "Target Bonus Track" fiasco of some years ago I did a little on-line searching to verify. However, this is what turned up:

And as a matter of professional note, I'm disappointed that Sony lists the composer of Episode III as "John Williams, Guitarist".However, this has long been a matter of public ignorance. Ranting about it here seems to be the only place it makes a dent, if at all.

I think I'd venture that Sony's track listing is more correct. But keep an eye on the soundtrack site...and when all else fails, the back of the case on 5.3

"I am the Senate..."I cannot wait for this

NP-Black Hawk Down
EDIT: Based on the early reviews of the score, I'd say Sony/Wal-Mart has the right tracklist.

I'm aware of the two John Williams. I just find it unprofessional that Sony confuses the two.

Reunion of Anakin and PadmeNote that Grievous and the Droids is listed on the Walmart version but not the other.

Looks like they duplicated and divided every track that had a divider in it.For example: The Birth of the Twins / Padme's Destiny, The Birth of the Twins, Padme's Destiny.
Play.com would have you think they are three separate tracks. Odd...

Could it be merely the fact that idiot employees don't take an extra second to figure out the correct track titles? Like, actually putting the disc in a player, and counting the tracks? This is problem that's relatively common to soundtrack fans, so I'm not covering new ground here--but how much extra effort could it be to get the job done right?

That would imply that they break the cellophane seal. Which is by law prohibited in the US.posted 04-12-2005 09:34 AM PT (US)

Foob, et. al. -No, no, no...I'm not saying that merchants everywhere should violate the precious law by breaking the sacrosanct cellophane seal...
Whatever technology exists to send out the tracklist to merchants worldwide, somewhere the tracklist has to be entered by hand by someone. You'd think that someone has a promo copy, perhaps?
Even so, surely the idea of divided tracklistings isn't a wholly new concept...? Surely not one that would make 21 tracks out of 16?

When Sony re-issued the 2 disc RCA Special Editions the track listings appeared the same way in early previews, with the track title and then a Medley listed below it.
Maybe certain stores will have a Bonus track or at the last minute Williams removed a track from the CD that he had originally intended to include. So basically come May 3rd most of us will be running around to Target, Best Buy, Walmart, Circuit City etc. etc. to find the right CD.

Actually Mark, I intend to let the rest of you run around. When it's determined where the "right" CD can be purchased, then I'll go grab one. =) Saves me a lot of work. Thanks in advance.

Actually I'm going to do what I did 3 years ago and check Sony's site. I believe it had the right CD catalogue number with the bonus tracks and where it was being sold.posted 04-13-2005 07:13 AM PT (US) Old Infopop Software by UBB
