Anyone care to test their eyesite to get the CD running time? (I don't want to go blind)

    1. Maitobo 4:26
    2. Sylvia is Followed 1:21
    3. SOMEONE (Tobin?) Comes Home 2:19
    4. Sylvia's Background 1:??
    5. Philippe 3:21
    6. Drowning Man Trail (Atolago) 3:41
    7. Guy Forgot His Lunch 1:47
    8. The Phonecall 1:09
    9. Simon's Journal 1:06
    10. Sylvia Showers 2:31
    11. Did he leave a note? 3:??
    12. Zuwainie Arrives at the UN 5:01
    13. Assassin 4:14
    14. End Credits (Atolago) 4:13

Assuming these are right - the minute running time is probably correct, the seconds are harder - can someone else do the math?

Here's what Kirk Honeycutt in the Hollywood Reporter said in his positive review of the film about the score:

"The movie is punctuated by two bravura sequences, where James Newton Howard's music and William Steinkamp's editing build an emotional crescendo that culminates in tense and surprising standoffs."

Assuming those times are correct, it's around the 40-minute mark. Incidentally, it's Silvia not Sylvia (Nicole Kidman's character is South African).

I assume these are Maitobo and Atolago.

James, tell us more? Are those pieces credited to someone else on the cover?

Atolago is listed as a traditional piece performed by Kirsten Braten Berg in the credits on the rear cover of the Varèse cd.

Found a cd with a clip of it here:

I'm just glad you're listening to scores like these so I don't have to bother.

I'll put this one in the list with Dreamcatcher, The Clearing, 21 Grams and The Deadly Spawn.

Hey - The Deadly Spawn has a certain "so bad it's good" quality! The others are just dull.

The Deadly Spawn has a factor too dangerous for me to ever risk putting it on my CD shelf - how would I ever explain to anyone, soundtrack fan or otherwise, why there is a limited edition release of a CD with giant penises rearing up over mankind?
