Apparently Sean Penn does not have a sense of humor, either that or he was wasted. Maybe it's a little of both.

Sean Penn is an a-hole. I hope they never invite him back.

I'm a little surprised he was the only one who remarked on how poor a host Chris Rock was. He just went for stupid and remarkably tasteless jokes again and again.

yeah penn was disgusting. he looked like a drunk slob. he's a good actor, but the guy needs to take a joke. even if rock wasn't a good host (i thought he was good), that doesn't mean penn should be an a-hole about it. i guess he's still trying to be a bad boy. that's a shame.

Somewhat ironic that Chris Rock would refer to Toby McQuire as 'a boy', with that expression being a historical racial slur.

Sean Penn is one hell of an actor IMHO, but last night he was wasted or something. Or maybe he was just having a terrible night. Or he could've just plain been nervous. I guess we'll never know. As for Chris Rock hosting the awards... I personally was not looking forward to it, but I was very pleasantly surprised. He made them more entertaining in my eyes. He just made the evening more fun. Glad to see Jaimie Foxx win. As for Don Cheadle not winning, I have a feeling we'll be seeing more and more of him now. At least I hope so, I really enjoy him in everything I see.
