Hi! I want to add more piano based film scores to my collection. I have The Firm and Conversation and I think they're both fantastic. So do you guys have any suggestions?

You might want to consider Tiomkin's score for 36 HOURS, which uses a piano prominently; it's one of the FSM releases:

I thought of only a few

    Michael Nyman's The Piano.
Michael Kamen's Circle Of Friends & The Winter Guest

John Williams' Sabrina is very piano-reliant...

the best one I can think of:

    Ennio Morricone-The legend of 1900

    Also try this wonderful score:

    Ludovico Einaudi-Doctor Zhivago

As Peter suggested, I also like 36 Hours very much. Exc score with piano and orchestra. You may also like the Piano Concerto CD on Naxos with stuff my Waxman and Rozsa etc.

I also recommend the Rozsa Spellbound and New England Suite CD/LP great piano and orchestra work on there.

Also good is the Paradine Case by Waxman. Great stuff.

The piano stuff on Finding Neverland is brilliant. I can listen to "The Park on Piano" on repeat for an hour, easily.

You may want to use the message board search for the keyword "piano." There have been some great suggestions regard'n the topic.

Till Human Voices Wake Us (Dale Cornelius)
    East-West (Doyle)
    It's My Party (Poledouris)
    The War at Home (Poledouris)
