The most recent review of the SNF phenomenon:"Everyone involved in the making of this film and soundtrack are the sort of persons you would fear to leave alone with your teenage daughter. All that pigeon chested strutting and testicle clamping high pitched wailing is not just suspicious, but deeply sinister. In short, this film and soundtrack came straight from Satan's bottom."

I myself have always thought that I detested the "wailing" music of Bee Gees, BUT last summer changed everything. One of Finland's amusement parks presented a stage production of SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER, and honestly, the music sounded INCREDIBLY GOOD as performed "live", with slightly updated contemporary arrangements, plus that the dancing of the entire cast was simply breathtaking. Because of this production I actually bought the SNF soundtrack and ever since I have admitted being wrong about the music of Bee Gees and SNF. However, I prefer Tavares' version of "More Than a Woman" much more than the Bee Gees' original (both found on the soundtrack). But the true highlights of SNF soundtrack are the tracks by David "Return To Oz" Shire. His "Manhattan Skyline" and "Salsation" are true delights in the jaunty, melodic style I prefer. And Shire's disco arrangement of Moussorgsky's "Night on Bald Mountain" is also a delightful piece - although RETURN TO OZ it is definitely not!

The person who posted as "metalmilitia" has gotta be in his early teens. He'll come around (mature), as we all did, and learn not to be so narrow-minded. He's just in his teen "grunge-metal" phase...or whatever they're calling it now.
I'd like to know what he and Ejspncer14 think is "good" music on their planets.
Ejspncer14 said - "This is the worst soundtrack of all mankind!! All you fans who like this crap are idiots!!!!"
LOL, That's a classic riot! 4 exclamation points! He must be TRYIN to make a point. His post sounds like something Napolean Dynamite would say. In fact, say it to yourself as N.D. and it's a laugh!!
Jimdroberts just sounds like one of many sheep being force-fed what's "right" in this world and keeping his blinders he's wearing very securely tightened. Ya can't argue with people like these. They THINK they're always right and ya just gotta laugh em off...old news...
It is one of the greatest soundtracks of all-time. Enlightened me about how great the Bee-Gees are when i saw the movie.
A little trivia for you: Did you know that The Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan were given the chance to be on this soundtrack, but decided against it because they thought the movies premise wasn't interesting and the movie wasn't gonna be successful? So both bands went with the other soundtrack they were offered. It was for the movie "FM".
