Well, the poll would be huge if I didn't want to ask you guys (and gal or two) to pare down this year's options for BEST SOUNDTRACK FROM 2004. We're not talking just score CDs, but any soundtrack released for a 2004 movie. I'd like the list to be less than 10 titles, preferrably 7 or 8.I know there is a similar thread somewhere around here, but let's go at it again. You can nominate your favorites based on whatever criteria you like, as long as the movie rep'd is from 2004.
If you need some help remembering this year, here's a start (not a complete listing, but close):

Here's that other thread. We can combine 'em, or keep 'em both going. I'll tally from each.... so if you've already replied in one, no need to reply again! Thank you!

Thinking about coming up with my own favorites, I thought to check the "popularity" meter first.... the biggest films of the year.1 Shrek 2
2 Spider-Man 2
3 The Passion of the Christ
4 Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
5 The Incredibles
6 The Day After Tomorrow
7 The Bourne Supremacy
8 Shark Tale
9 I, Robot
10 The Polar Express
11 National Treasure
12 Troy
13 50 First Dates
14 Van Helsing
15 Fahrenheit 9/11
Does popularity rate with quality, as far as original scores go? It looks like most people's favorite scores (by reading the other thread), are from not-so-big BO films....[Message edited by PeterK on 12-29-2004]

If you're still accepting nominations, how about The Life Aquatic? Wes Anderson can put together a great soundtrack, and the film's not bad too.NP: Barry's "A View To A Kill"

Just to clarify...this poll is about the best CD releases, correct? Not about how the soundtrack worked for the film, right? Because two of my very favorites have yet to see any official release...You have my list in the other thread, but since that's just concerned with scores and this one is (presumably) about soundtracks as a whole, I just wanted to lend my support to Team America: World Police, which has been an undying source of merriment this year.
