Do they just love Directors who write film music, or is Million Dollar Baby good enough to beat out Azkaban, Incredibles, etc.?

    Has anyone heard Sideways?

I don't know if it's loving directors, or just loving Clint Eastwood.

I say this every year. The Golden Globes are for television ratings. They are used to sell network ad space. So, in order to draw in the throngs of star worshippers, you have to nominate all the big stars. The bigger the stars, the bigger the audience, the bigger the price tag for thirty-second spots.

not to be all cynical about it, but what isn't a marketing campaign these days?

This is an odd list, but pretty short considering the year there were like 10 different ones.

And "Spanglish"? Well, at least it was not for "Thunderbirds".
