It's true! A splendid 3 CD set of Kaper's great MUTINY ON THE BOUNTY is coming from FSM. 4 hours of music; the complete filmscore and a whole alternate score. What a marvellous release.
The golden age title ist SADDLE THE WIND by Elmer Bernstein, paired with the unused score by Jeff Alexander.
Many thanks to Lukas Kendall and his crew for another outstanding effort; once again, you make a lot of people very happy.

Yeah, MUTINY is one of the great scores (even if it's a mess as a film). If you aren't familiar with it I can't rave enough about this thing. And FSM went and gave us everything they could find on it.

When Rhino did 4 HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE they could have issued 2 CDs and given us all of it (as I have on a 2 CD boot) but no, they didn't.

One can always find things to criticize FSM over but their output and willingness to go the extra mile when issuing scores isn't on that list.

MUTINY is a wonderful gift to us to finally have complete after all these years and FSM promises Tiomkin's masterful THE THING FROM ANOTHER WORLD from original acetates very shortly as well. God it's a good time to be alive collecting film music.

A new policy of offering limited editions for pre-order is shaping up in the store for everyone's benefit:

Mutiny on the Bounty 3CD is now available for pre-order from MovieMusic... all orders of at least three new or three used CDs placed before Dec 1, whether or not the pre-order product is available by then, still qualifies for the $1 shipping sale running this month. For example, order Mutiny, Shade and Lawman before Dec 1, it'll only cost $1 to ship, even if shipped on December 15.

    Hope this helps....
