The disc runs about 54-56 minutes. I've been looking for clips the past few weeks...no luck yet.

I've been on Decca's site for the CD too, nothing yet. I'd check back on Nov 2 when the disc launches.

The film looks really good...hope the score delivers.

This one's a winner. I can't help but think of what other favorite composers may have done with this, but even so, this one pulls my thumbs out of the pie and sticks them up in the sky. These solo piano performances tug on some emotions I thought I didn't have; uplifting with minor tones... dare say sadly magical. Kaczmarek tries not to imitate popular film composer sentimentality and wildly succeeds. This is all his. "The Park on Piano" is beauty, both in composition and performance.... And wow, the liner notes by the producer regarding the solo piano pieces? Right on the money, a true movie music experience at the hands of a gifted piano player.

Can't wait a second to hear this music with the movie.... it just might be my favorite score of the year. With Depp and Winslet put to this kind of music (these two really bring out scores), I'd be shocked if it was not nominated. Go!

Kaczmarek is no only a great composer, but a gentleman too.

A friend of mine met him at a film music function in L.A. and told him how much I loved his score for "Bliss." (If you haven't heard it, seek it out. It's one of the most achingly romantic scores I've heard.) Mr. Kaczmarek then went to his car and gave my friend a signed CDR of his score to "The Third Miracle" for me. At that point that score wasn't available and the film hadn't been released.

I sent Mr. Kaczmarek a thank you e-mail and told him how much I enjoyed his work. He was very generous and replied to my mail.

After hearing "Unfaithful," which was one of my favorite scores for 2002, if there was ever any doubt about his talent for writing an emotional score, it should be laid to rest. That score, full of piano solos also, really helped illustrate the emotional conflicts and feelings of the film's characters.

I'm sure "Finding Neverland" will be equally wonderful, if not more so.

Does anyone know if the score was used in the trailer? I am not talking about the one with A Beautiful Mind in it, but the one that's on the Jersey Girl DVD. I love the music and have been trying to find out what it is for quite some time now. And from the descriptions of the score, it sounds like it might be it.

Well, if you're talking about trailer one. The end of it I know is from "Durango" by Mark McKenzie

Saw the film last night at a sneak preview and thought it was wonderful.

The audience loved it too. Lots of applause at the end.

The score is quite lovely, but mixed very low. I felt I couldn't really hear it well, which was a shame.

The CD should pretty much represent the entire score as I didn't hear much more music than what was listed above.

Looking forward to hearing it away from the film.

    James

Worthy winner. Hopefully this will mean some more high profile assignments for the composer of Bliss, Finding Neverland, Total Eclipse, Quo Vadis and Lost Souls.

Personally, I was hoping for Debney, but Jan gave a nice speech, and what the hey--Charlie Kaufman won for Eternal Sunshine! I'm just thrilled about that!
