From Varese's site:EARTHSEA
Original Television SoundtrackMusic Composed by Jeff Rona
Adapted from legendary fantasy author Ursula K. Le Guin’s acclaimed six volume Earthsea series, Hallmark Entertainment and the Sci-Fi Channel present an epic fantasy that follows the tale of a reckless youth destined to become the greatest sorcerer that the mystical world of Earthsea has ever known. When the difficult and rebellious youth discovers the extent of his magical powers, he seeks to master the ancient arts — and his own impulses as well. As he journeys to manhood, he combats dragons, crosses death’s threshold and ultimately wields the power to reunite a planet.
• Ursula Le Guin has won five Nebula and five Hugo awards.
• The Earthsea series is beloved by fantasy and science fiction fans the world over and is listed along with Frank Herbert’s Dune series, Marion Zimmer Bradley’s Avalon series, C.S. Lewis’ Narnia series and Stephen King’s Dark Tower books as a classic of the fantasy/science fiction genre.
• Combines the grand scope of Lord Of The Rings and the magic of Harry Potter with the trademark scope of such Hallmark Entertainment classics as Merlin, The Odyssey, and Arabian Nights.
• Earthsea stars Emmy and Golden Globe nominee, Isabella Rossellini (Blue Velvet), Sebastian Roche (Merlin), Danny Glover (Lethal Weapon series), Shawn Ashmore (X-Men) and Kristin Kreuk (Smallville).
• This epic, magical and thrilling orchestral score is a new fantasy classic for those that love great music and the genre.

Awesome - finally something new from Jeff Rona. I'm excited to hear what he's going to do with this. They've been advertising it alongside Stargate: Atlantis, and the previews look pretty cool.J
