I have now explored into John Frizzel's music for "Dante's Peak" (a great movie, by the way!) and have realised how great it was!Pity the soundtrack is only 30 minutes, though.
Anybody have any views for his work on "Dante's Peak"?

I liked it overall.
I was a little disopinted that the main titles is different from the main title in the movie.

Hey I have been tipped about there being a 2CD complete score for DP. Does it really exsist? I should like to get my hands on one!

I have the 2-Disc bootleg. I must admit that I haven't listened to it in ages. I'll have another listen tonight and tell you later what the quality is like.

The DVD also has an isolated music track in the "making of" featurette. Although when I checked it out, the volume was pushed way down. So you may not be able to salvage much of it.Ryan

The isolated score is the same as the Varese release. And I thought we weren't able to talk about Bootlegs on these boards.

Clayton, I don't consider copying music from DVDs for the enjoyment of listening to the music, a breach of the PeterK Bootleg Act of 2002 (or whatever). It's when you discuss and/or promote the distribution of these items, or even worse, the marketing of them (in any way) -- that's where the breach is.You were responding to Ryan, for which I don't think that reply was suitable. However, point your response to Kris and while his intentions were well and good, your argument is nonetheless valid.

As I recall, on the Varese CD, there is one piece of music that is clearly supposed to run together but, for some reason, was indexed into two tracks. Easy enough to fix, of course. I like the main title and I think the score has some good moments.

No no no, I didn't mean to direct the bootleg thing at Ryan. The bootleg thing wasn't directed at anyone in particular.
