    From Varese's site:

    ALIAS: Season 2
    Original Television Soundtrack

    Music Composed by Michael Giacchino

    JENNIFER GARNER

Featuring the popular theme composed by series creator J.J. Abrams

It was a family affair in the second season of J.J. Abrams’s wonderfully inventive Alias, as super secret agent Sydney Bristow (Jennifer Garner) came face-to-face with the mother of all super secret agents — her own mother, Irina Derevko (Lena Olin), a former KGB agent presumed dead but alive and more dangerous than ever. After shooting poor Syd, Irina later shows up at the doorstep of the CIA, offering to turn herself in and work for the good guys. But can she be trusted? Thanks to a great ensemble cast, fast-paced writing and direction, and some cannily cast guest stars, Alias rode a stunning emotional roller-coaster and never broke its momentum. ALIAS Season 2 was a blockbuster!

In answer to fan demand, and after our first, hugely successful ALIAS soundtrack, comes the ALIAS Season 2 soundtrack, featuring more of composer Michael Giacchino’s thrilling music — sort of a techno/club take on the classic James Bond sound. Giacchino’s scores for the episodes of Season 2 received even greater acclaim than his first 22 episodes. Also included is the heart-stopping main title theme composed by series creator J.J. Abrams.

So, to accompany the recent release of ALIAS Season 3 on DVD and timed to hit stores in advance of the holiday season and the highly anticipated launch of ALIAS Season 4 in January, comes this exciting second soundtrack for the hit television series ALIAS!

    Release Date: 11/16/04

Why is Jennifer Garner mentioned so prominently? Is Her Dimpled Sweetness on the CD somewhere? (A bonus track of the only time to date that she's sung on the show, perhaps... although that was from the first season?)

The Varese Hype machine at work.

She is very "hot" at the moment and deservably so.

If "The Incredibles" takes off, and I'm pretty sure it will, look for Giacchino to be very "hot" too.

I am really looking forward to more of his music. He's a lot of fun.

Did anyone hear Giacchino's title theme for the "Lost" mini-series last week? It weaved back and forth from mysterious to emotional, like a subtle elegy. No more 'hummable' than Shirley Walker's theme for Final Destination but just as impressive.

Yeah, I really enjoy some of the music that he's writing. Judging by the sound of some of his music, it seems Giacchino may be a fan of Herrmann's score for the "Twilight Zone" episode "Walking Distance." His hill/mountain climbing music was pretty cool, too.

Is the theme online anywhere (Lost isn't starting on British TV until next year - let's hope it has better luck here than Alias)?
