on the score album there's a sountrack (on_the_beach.mp3) where a girl plays very beautiful music with an instrument that looks like a violen but sounds different.
i really loved it and kept looking for the original writer of that part hoping to get the original track played by him, but i failed.
if you have any idea about it please lighten me.

The score and songs to Queen of the Damned were composed by Jonathan Davis and Richard Gibbs. Jonathan Davis wrote the lyrics and songs, while Richard Gibbs wrote the orchestral arrangements. The score selection, On the Beach, is very much musically connected to the songs, Slept So Long and Forsaken. As much as the film was panned for its departure from the original novels and the addition of Korn's lead singer in scoring, they made valiant attempts to not only write songs that told Lestat's story, but kept continuity between the score and songs.

I believe, on the cd it could be electronically improvised. The cd version might as well be the electric violen.Infact the performer of the intrument is SHANKAR-who is an accomplished electric violen player and has contributed to such films as LAST TEMPTATION OF CHRIST and most recently THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST.Amer.

SHANKAR is what i've got. but when i previewed some of his albums at towerrecords.com i heared something different. even on the album label shows that what he plays is something looking like an electrical guitar.
anyway if he is the one that wrote that masterpiece. in wich of his albums is it?posted 10-05-2004 05:00 PM PT (US) Old Infopop Software by UBB
