Justin, are you still pissed that your "Wanker" has not "grown up" to the "big leagues" yet and will probably remain "unseen" and not hit the "peak" of his career and just be the usual "average joe"?

Wanker was born: April 19, 1973
Beltrami was born: October 7, 1968

Beltrami first score according to imdb.com: 1994 - A TV series episode.
Wanker's first score according to imdb.com: Buffy The Vampire Slayer season 5.

Wanker's first was a hit TV show and Beltrami's was a crappy TV show I ahve never heard of.

Beltrami's latest works include: I, Robot, Hellboy, Terminator 3.

Wanker's latest works include: The Day After Tomorrow (additional), Aliens vs. Predator (additional)

Both on an equel level. So Wanker first was 1997 and Beltrami's was 1994. So the difference is: about 3 years. In three years Wanker's hasn't risen to Beltrami's current state of fame, let me know about your current level of bitch. ;-)

On a side note Wanker came to America and got Buffy, while Beltrami was in America and got "Love Street" TV series.

On a note related to this thread, try contaqcting gsamusic.com - they used to represent him and maybe know how to reach him. Then you can send him a clip and find out for sure.

And I, Robot, hellboy and T3 were hits.
And those scores are good and/or listenable.

The Day After Tomorrow bombed and with Aliens vs Predator being only PG-13, I'm sure that's going to piss off some hard core fans right there.

The Day After Tomorrow score was crap! And no I don't hate the composer. I like his score for The Thirtheenth Floor. Hopefully he does a good score for Aliens vs. Predator.

While we're on the subject about your obsession with your Wanker, shouldn't you be more obsessed with finding a job?

    B]

Well let's not go there because another one of your favorite composers, Christophe Beck, scored episodes of Land's End as well.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer was a very lame show. I can't see how anyone over the age of 15 can stand it.
The music in that show wasn't anything worth arguing about. It sounded like mainly keyboards and some rock, with the usual WB song soundtrack.
Thomas Wanker.... I don't know what cues he did on Day after Tommorrow, but that score was very mediocre.
13th Floor was ok. But theres no telling what he did on that either. And its not a very popular score either.

Justin, is Buffy the Vampire Slayer the only connection to your erectile obsession with a Wanker? You never mention Harold Kloser who is generally the primary composer of the bigger scoring assignments.

The thing about Marco Beltrami is that he scores movies I have no interest in. And generally these movies require scores that I'm not interested in. But his music is still more complex and developed than anything I've heard by Wanker. I would like to challenge Beltrami to score his next horror/suspense movie without using any orchestral hits or stingers.

    Thanks Gents

I'll make a note of that, as it was all a great help.

Well I can tell you which scores it's not from. I have Stigmata and Ronin and neither of them have a track called "Levitation" on them. And according to the track listing on here for Bones, it's not on there either. Sorry I couldn't help...

Anyway, for the debate of Beltrami Vs. Wanker. I think it's pointless. Personally, I haven't heard much Wanker. I have heard The Day After Tomorrow and aside from a few really good tracks, the rest was eh. Now Beltrami on the other hand has tons and tons of scores I like. Jeff, you forgot to mention the fact that his scores for the Scream trilogy were a monster hits also. However, what is the point of this argument? It's just personal preference, one composer isn't better than the other, and just because one composer has more jobs than the other that also doesn't prove anything. The guy or girl could just have the right connections. So, as I said, this debate is pointless.

    Clayton,
As you know, anytime I mention something about a bad score/movie. Boggan has something to say about beltrami. So you know I have to make fun of his "Wanker".

Jeff, you missed the point of my post and went straight for Mr. Wanker and the jokes.

Tim, I am above timmy after reading his post and therefore he is not worthy to argue with.

timmy might as well be standing there saying, "What's that do?"

Oh and let's not pick on Mr. Beck shall we? His first score was "White Fang" TV series, no doubt related to the movie in a tiny, tiny, tiny way. Even thought the series may have sucked. And his latest project is the remake the The Pink Panther. Beltrami can only hope to get that and produce the wonderful themss Beck did for Buffy.
