Even though i wish thier was a longer release i am still happy with what we were given. The Doc Ock Themes are AWESOME!!!! I am still listening to the rest but so far GREAT stuff!!!!

Spiderman 2 is annoying.
Sorry, but I really like Elfman and the Spiderman theme...
But all this monolithic pounding and stroking of instruments is incoherent at best and distracts from a otherwise wonderful listen.Works good in the movie though. But am afraid Elfman composed to the dynamics of onscreen action. A *plow* *kapow* here and there.. a *twhump* there... and all orchestra instruments and arrangements in sync with those....

I love it when someone bashes a score then rates an inferior score with a full rating in their "NP" section. Helps me remember that opinions are like *******s... Some stink like **** more than others!Ryan

Ryan, I don't think what anyone happens to be listening to at the moment they are posting has any bearing on the validity of their opinion. For the record, though, I think the way that Raimi threw out so much of Elfman's music, tracked in cues from the first flick, and hired other composers to come in at the very last minute was absolutely brilliant. I hope other directors take note of this kind of leadership and make use of it in the future. After all, three composers can surely write a better score than one can, right?

NP: Troy rejected promoIf three can compose an a better score? what the crap does that mean? And Ryan, Just because you don't think Thunderbirds is a better score than Spider-Man 2 doesn't mean people have to agree with you. It's like in elementary school when all the kids need to like the same thing or else they're not "cool".
Clayton
NP> Bad Boys (I Love this score, I will give it 4 out 5 stars even though I know that It's repetative and full of synth, I still love it)
PS> Foobsie only gave Thunderbirds 4/5 stars. So it wasn't a full rating.

What does it mean? Read the entire thread again and this time, when you come to mine, think sarcasm.

I think he was referring to your grammar rather than your tone. We all get that you were being sarcastic, but what you should have said was "If three can compose a better score..." instead of "If three can compose an a better score..." Just my thoughts on this.Anyway I got the Spiderman 2 CD, and I think that what Elfman wrote (Including the two bonus tracks) is genius. I'm kind of luke warm about the secondary composers' music, though.
