    Hi.
Every time that zimmer realease a score,i go to here and i post my expectation. In last yeas i was very Disapointed with every zimmer work.
    Now i listen king arthur....
the old zimmer is back, with full force. Its not first knight, krull or even peacemaker. But its a funny score.(bad??maybe...)
The main theme, the choral arranjaments are so amazing...and the orchestral arrangements are more cohesive than last zimmer works
    Tracks 1(yes,the song),4,6 and 7 are terrific.
(yes the intruments are played at the same time like never before, but its zimmer guys..if you want a symphonic work go to williams or horner).
    Enjoy it.

I like the score too but it does bother me that I Mists of Avalon and Animal Farm in there. I didn't intentionally look for themes while I watched the movie but those similarity just came up.

But hey, I'm a Horner fan so I can tolerate that sort of thing.

    I'm no die-hard Zimmer fan...

...But I have to admit King Arthur is one of the more entertaining Zimmer score's I've heard since Gladiator. Granted it could be cut n pasted into Gladiator or any other epic Zimmer action score released over the past decade and few could tell the difference, but if you go into it expecting to hear all those Zimmerisms, you won't be disappointed. People who were bored with Tears of the Sun or The Last Samurai will probably be surprised by King Arthur. "Budget Meeting" alone is worth it.

????? Has the CD been released?
I just saw the movie today, was a bit underwhelmed by it. The music was almost mundane at its worst. At least the heroic theme, stated a dozen of time, didn't remind me of Gladiator. The battle music was varied and different. Overall, there's a great deal of material to be released that could make for a great album if edited right. I'll look for it in store.

I believe it's going to be released by Hollywood Records on July 27th... making my list of CD's to get on the 27th even longer...

Is there promo CD available somewhere? Since it seems that's the case.

Okay...let's look at this realistically, if we can try.

IF there is an advance promo of the soundtrack, which is coming out now in less than 2 weeks, out there how soon do you think it'd find it's way to you? I'd harbor not much quicker than the actual CD, which is coming out in less than 2 weeks.

Then there is the iTunes option. If you are THAT hot for the CD, then by all means pay your money and download the thing there.

Me...I'll wait. I ALWAYS try to wait. I realize I am lucky as I live in the LA area and usually find these things in the used bins for less than $10.00 and I CANNOT see paying up to $20.00 for a domestic CD that is released by a major record label.

Besides, it's Zimmer, he stopped exciting my musical tastes ages ago which is a shame. Or is it a sham...I don't know...probably both.

So I say just be patient. You know the CD is coming in a matter of time.

Hell...I've been waiting since 1979 to have a release of John Barry's "Hanover Street," and that hasn't happened yet.

    James

P.S. Zimmerito, I realize you're in Spain and the release dates are different. I suggest going the iTunes route if you just have to have the music NOW!

    Well...Now I listen very times....
The song is beauty, with a memorable zimmer theme.
Woad to ruin ,hold the ice, budget meeting and all of them are tracks really amazing.
Definitely one of the zimmer's best.
Don't care if sounds very "crimson tide esque".What is the problem?
Goldemith always seems goldsmith. And zimmer compose things like Blak hawk down, matchstick men or nine months.
This score is in my zimmer top ten.
The percusion is so brutal, the main theme so memorable, the vocals so soft, the strings so zimmer(k2?prince of egypt?)....a easy score???yes...its not goldenthal.
A very "normal" cd.One song,55 minuts of score, action parts, dramatics parts and a great final theme.Very good edition for one os zimmer's best.
I like more than gladiator, orchestrations are more cohesive.Seems all by zimmer...
    Congratulations.
A negative factor is the "confusion".the percusion is recorded to high.

Nice score. Too bad it sounds like the typical Zimmer synthsonics. Gives it a cheap-straight-to-video feel.

Well...My top 3 zimmer score are....
Prince of egypt, king arthur and beyond rangoon.
The people that says that this is other Media ventures score is wrong or just listen the track 2.
I think that this score is more like dramtics parts of K2,prince of egypt, gladiator and lion king.
Track 2=Somethig new+Peacemaker+media ventures action score.
Track 3=Ronin(last samurai)+Lord of the rings+Might of rome +Braveheart(some action material)
    Track 4=Beyond rangoon,K2,I'm not merciful
Track 5= Armageddon+ prince of egypt
Track 6= cameroon border post + to die For (lion king)
    Track 7= Kopano 3(the texture)+lion king + bacdraft.
    Thanks Zimmer for the music.
I'm very tired of experiments(Black hawk down),The thin red line esque(Last samurai, tears of the sun, hannibal) or European music(i'm from spain)like matchstick men.
    This is my zimmer.

Ok, what I want to know is where in the world is the beautiful music that overlaid the song sung by the woman in the bar - "We will go home". It was absolutely haunting, but I didn't find it on ANY of the tracks on the CD. Very dissappointing, to say the least. 7 tracks? C'mon Zimmer!

Just picked this up today. I havent truly heard a zimmer score that impressed me like this since Backdraft. It has a very epic feel to it, and most of all it's not boring, like some of Zimmers other recent scores. You definitely wont fall asleep while listening to this one. I'm on my second listen to it right now, I think I'm going for thirds.

I also just picked this up today and I am very, very pleasantly surprised! I was kind of expecting an average score with great moments but I was wrong! I love this whole thing (so far at least and I am on track 5)
