Has anyone heard anything out of anyone connected with Varese Sarabande about the status of the soundtrack collectors club?

Before you say, "Why don't you ask them yourself," previous correspondence yielded an irritated response that they'd announce new titles when they were ready.

Still, there are folks who are "connected" to individuals within the organization who can get helpful information, and so I was wondering.....

Supposedly each disc in the club release represents a month so maybe each Goldsmith disc represents a month as well so in August we will have our new titles.

Varese told me that they would announce them as soon as they're ready to be announced.

How long has it been since the ripoff box? 5 months? That's not too long ago. I think we're just spoiled at how FSM releases two per month.

What I'm waiting for most eagerly are the next recordings with the RSNO.

Do you suppose that counts as part of the year-long celebration, as well? Each disc represents one month of the year? So if it came out in March, they don't have to do anything related to Goldsmith's birthday until...oh, say September?

I think the hype about the box was way overdone, and the same can be said for the so-called celebration.

I think Varese needs to seriously find a professional party planner.

Let them wait until December for all I care. I still can't afford to buy the CDs from the last year.

I'm looking forward to that too. I remember reading that the recording venue in Glasgow has been undergoing redevelopment, which is the reason for the pause in that particular series.

A few club releases would be nice, now. I've saved up my money and it's just itching to be spent.

Hey Franz, I have no idea what they are. Like James said, they were renovating the recording studio, but I hope that's done by now and at least one recording is somewhere in the pipeline. "Post production," or whatever you call it for CDs, seems to take Varese a year for these re-recordings.
