    THE BOURNE SUPREMACY

Following the smash worldwide success of 2002’s The Bourne Identity, Universal Pictures brings the second installment of best-selling author Robert Ludlum’s series to the screen with Matt Damon returning as trained assassin Jason Bourne in The Bourne Supremacy.

The Bourne Supremacy re-enters the shadowy world of expert assassin Bourne (Damon), who continues to find himself plagued by splintered nightmares from his former life. The stakes are now even higher for the agent as he coolly maneuvers through the dangerous waters of international espionage—replete with CIA plots, turncoat agents and ever-shifting covert alliances—all the while hoping to find the truth behind his haunted memories and answers to his own fragmented past.

Compelling use of exotic worldwide locations and the muscular cinematic edge brought by vanguard director Paul Greengrass maintains the aggressive style and fresh, non-traditional perspective established in The Bourne Identity. The Bourne Supremacy is the latest entry in a refreshingly new breed of that time-honored genre, the espionage thriller.

Composer John Powell, returns to the land of Ludlum for this thrilling sequel. Powell scored yet another hit with The Italian Job and both The Bourne Identity and The Italian Job spawned best-selling soundtrack albums. Prominently featured in the film and also included on this CD will be a new song called Landing performed by Moby.

Opening on July 23 on The Bourne Supremacy is one of the most anticipated films of the summer.

    MAN ON FIRE

Oscar winner Denzel Washington stars as a government operative/soldier of fortune, who has pretty much given up on life. In Mexico City, he reluctantly agrees to take a job to protect a child (Dakota Fanning) whose parents are threatened by a wave of kidnappings. He eventually becomes close to the child and their relationship reawakens and rekindles his spirit. When she is abducted, his fiery rage is unleashed on those he feels responsible, and he stops at nothing to save her.

From director Tony Scott (Enemy of the State, Spy Game, Top Gun) comes a film being called the “best of the year so far.” The thrilling and intense score by Harry Gregson-Williams features mesmerizing vocals by Gabriel Gonzalez and Gladiator’s Lisa Gerrard.

20th Century Fox opened MAN ON FIRE on April 23 with over $23 Million and became the best opening of Denzel Washington's career.

Man, just like Sony did with Spiderman 2, it looks like Varese is following suit and pushing Bourne back a week too. Both were 7/20 - now they're 7/27.

Are the labels doing this just to piss me off??

    I can't wait much longer...
    Tim

Cool. I'm really interested in hearing how much John Powell modify the orignal themes and style.
28 tracks for Man On Fire? Sounds a bit similar to the iTune release but then I don't have the music here at work to compare the listing. That remix track is new though, right?'

I wonder if the new SUPREMACY ending is on the CD... Might not considering they just filmed it two weeks ago...

The Rave track is new, the songs are new and the Remix is new. The track listing for the iTunes release is as follows:

    7. Nightmare
    8. Bullet Tells the Truth
    9. Followed
    10. Smiling
    11. You Are Her Father
    12. Kidnapping
    13. No Mariachi
    14. The Drop
    15. You Betrayed Me
    16. She's Dead
    17. The Crime Scene

    25. I'm So Sorry
    26. The Voice
    27. Sanchez Family
    28. The Rooftop
    29. The End

Whoo, that took a while to type. I'd tell you the track times but that would take a while. Anyway, if you notice the Kidnapping track is missing from the Varese release (unless it's mixed with something else) which is kind of strange considering the whole movie is about her being kidnapped. But I will still be getting the Varese release.

I can't wait to see what Powell did with The Bourne Supremacy. I always like sequels because I look forward to hearing the themes redone.

I'm confused. On The Bourne Supremacy, isn't there supposed to be a Moby track called Landing? Why would they include the song from the last movie on here?
