I know a lot of you have probably already heard basil poledouris the touch score, but I just got it, and listened to it for the first time today. I think it's freakin magnificent, it made me realize again what a rare talent poledouris is.
I never was a huge fan of oriental type music, but fused together with poledouris style melodies its great.
Ok well Im going to go listen to this for about the 6th time in a row now.

I dont have it yet and have not heard and am looking forward to it. Thanks for your comments. I was just listening to his Starship Troopers score. Wow, some great cues in that too. I have liked it since I bought it. That "drop" cue and the "urilla tango" cue are awesome. Also great are "bugs" and the final cue. Really good stuff. The last part of the "urilla" cue is awesome with the horns and trumpets going back and forth-powerful!!!!!I also like his Quigley score, Jungle Book, Red Dawn, Blue Lagoon, Hunt for Red October, Conan and Farewell to the King is great too. Also like Under Siege 2 and Flight of Intruder and Hot Shots 2. All great.
John.

This score is a little different than those, but yet still has the same power level as almost all of those scores, you can definitely tell it's poledouris though. when you get it you'll love it. It was one of those I fell in love with upon my first listen, thats a rarity these days.

Listened to the samples on the web... they sound great! Will need to ante up now. Also listened to samples from "The Legend Of Butch & Sundance". I hope that gets released. Basil was always very good with western themes.

I think butch and sundance is one of the few poledouris scores I havent heard before, sounds great from the clips though, yet another journey for a poledouris gem begins. Thanks for the clips.
