For those who don't want to go to Varese's site, here's the "hype" for the 2 releases as well as the link for the newly posted art on Craig Armstrong's "The Clearing." Looks like a long one for Armstrong.

    Enjoy!

    THE BOURNE SUPREMACY
    Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

    Music Composed by John Powell

Following the smash worldwide success of 2002’s The Bourne Identity, Universal Pictures brings the second installment of best-selling author Robert Ludlum’s series to the screen with Matt Damon returning as trained assassin Jason Bourne in The Bourne Supremacy.

The Bourne Supremacy re-enters the shadowy world of expert assassin Bourne (Damon), who continues to find himself plagued by splintered nightmares from his former life. The stakes are now even higher for the agent as he coolly maneuvers through the dangerous waters of international espionage—replete with CIA plots, turncoat agents and ever-shifting covert alliances—all the while hoping to find the truth behind his haunted memories and answers to his own fragmented past.

Compelling use of exotic worldwide locations and the muscular cinematic edge brought by vanguard director Paul Greengrass maintains the aggressive style and fresh, non-traditional perspective established in The Bourne Identity. The Bourne Supremacy is the latest entry in a refreshingly new breed of that time-honored genre, the espionage thriller.

Composer John Powell, returns to the land of Ludlum for this thrilling sequel. Powell scored yet another hit with The Italian Job and both The Bourne Identity and The Italian Job spawned best-selling soundtrack albums. Prominently featured in the film and also included on this CD will be a new song called Landing performed by Moby.

Opening on July 23 on The Bourne Supremacy is one of the most anticipated films of the summer.

    I, ROBOT
    Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

    Music Composed by Marco Beltrami

Will Smith stars in this action thriller inspired by the classic short story collection by Isaac Asimov, and brought to the big screen by dynamic and visionary director Alex Proyas (Dark City, The Crow). In the year 2035, robots are an everyday household item, and everyone trusts them, except one, slightly paranoid detective (Smith) investigating what he alone believes is a crime perpetrated by a robot. The case leads him to discover a far more frightening threat to the human race. I, ROBOT uses a spectacular, state-of-the-art visual effects technique to bring a world of robots to life.

The thrillingly exciting score is by composer Marco Beltrami, who has here created a bracing and original soundscape for this brave new world.

Will Smith’s previous July blockbusters include Independence Day ($306 million domestically) and Men In Black ($250 million domestically). Opening on July 18, 20th Century Fox’s I, ROBOT is all set to join their distinguished company.

    Still protesting Trevor Jones' non-involvement.

No kdding. I'm rather torn about this. Marco Beltrami has been turning out some very impressive stuff lately, but I was really looking forward to what Trevor Jones would come up with.

Of course, I was also looking forward to the movie until I started seeing the trailers.
